Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate patient conditions, limitations, and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based physical therapy treatment plans.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, electro-physical modalities, and other interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and health promotion strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all interactions accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy practices, research, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to all professional and ethical standards, as well as clinic policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Ontario, Canada (College of Physiotherapists of Ontario).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a variety of patient populations (e.g., orthopedic, neurological, geriatric).
  • Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare system is an asset.
  • Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., manual therapy, dry needling).
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, given Toronto's diverse population.
