Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Contract Physiotherapist to join our vibrant team in Flemingdon Park, Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional eager to deliver exceptional patient-centered care and significantly contribute to rehabilitation outcomes. As a Contract Physiotherapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals suffering from a range of physical conditions, injuries, and disabilities. You will work with a diverse patient population, including but not limited to individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, neurological disorders, and age-related mobility issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical condition, limitations, and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patient goals and conditions.
  • Administer a variety of physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, occupational therapists) to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain professional standards and adhere to all regulatory and ethical guidelines set forth by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Actively participate in clinical meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Valid registration and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).
  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years (24 months) of clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan development.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Specialized certifications in areas such as acupuncture, dry needling, or advanced manual therapy.
  • Previous experience in a private clinic setting.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to Toronto's diverse population.
