In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and other physical conditions. You’ll work closely with patients of all ages, from initial consultation through to discharge, developing personalised treatment plans aimed at restoring movement, reducing pain, preventing disability, and promoting overall well-being. This position demands a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication, and a genuine commitment to patient empowerment. You will utilise evidence-based practice to provide a variety of interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and patient education. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough subjective and objective assessments to accurately diagnose patient conditions.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised, evidence-based physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and acupuncture (if qualified).
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, self-management strategies, and prevention techniques.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient records in compliance with professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated patient care.
- Participate in regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development activities.
- Adhere strictly to HCPC standards of proficiency and conduct, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of physiotherapy services within the clinic.
- Manage a varied caseload efficiently, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Required Skills
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Minimum of 30 months post-graduate clinical experience.
- Demonstrable experience in assessing and treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering tailored exercise prescription programmes.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate training or specialisation in areas such as sports physiotherapy, neurological rehabilitation, or women's health.
- Experience with electronic patient record systems (e.g., TM2, Cliniko).
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
- Experience in a private practice setting.
- Basic IT literacy and competence in using standard office software.
