Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various pipeline systems (water, sewer, drainage) critical for the LRT project.
- Perform manual excavation and backfilling of trenches using hand tools and basic machinery, ensuring proper grading and compaction.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at the job site efficiently and safely.
- Prepare work areas, including setting up safety barricades, signage, and traffic control measures as directed.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, picks, drills, grinders) under strict supervision.
- Perform general labor duties as required, such as cleaning up sites, carrying materials, and assisting skilled tradespeople (e.g., pipefitters, welders).
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OHSA, confined space entry protocols).
- Participate actively in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Required Skills

- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).

- Reliable transportation to and from the job site located along the Waterfront East LRT corridor in Toronto.

- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights certification, First Aid/CPR).
