Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plumber to join our growing team, focusing on a diverse range of repair and installation projects within residential and commercial settings across Greenock and the surrounding Glasgow region. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate diagnosis and efficient repair of various plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, burst pipes, and faulty fixtures.
  • Install, maintain, and repair domestic and commercial plumbing systems, including hot and cold water supplies, drainage, and waste systems.
  • Install and connect appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, and water heaters.
  • Fit and service central heating systems, boilers (where qualified), and radiators.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventative plumbing services.
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to determine layouts for plumbing systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Provide clear, courteous, and professional communication with clients regarding service details, recommendations, and pricing.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work vehicle and ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and team members on larger projects.

Required Skills

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Plumber in both repair and installation roles
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in all aspects of plumbing systems, including pipework, drainage, and fixtures
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to health and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Gas Safe registration (if applicable to scope of work)
  • Experience with renewable energy heating systems (e.g., heat pumps)
  • Familiarity with smart home plumbing technologies
  • CSCS Card
