As a Plumber with Hiring.zycto, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various plumbing systems, fixtures, and pipelines. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and prevent potential problems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, utilizing a variety of diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to determine layouts for plumbing systems.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using various tools and techniques.
  • Ensure all work adheres strictly to local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, explaining issues and proposed solutions clearly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
  • Provide emergency plumbing services as required, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Plumber (minimum 3 years).
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste disposal.
  • Familiarity with plumbing codes and regulations (e.g., IPC, UPC, local Chicago codes).
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Plumber license in Illinois or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with advanced plumbing technologies (e.g., trenchless repair, green plumbing).
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish a plus).
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
  • Specific experience with skilled trade visa processes (e.g., H-2B, EB-3) is a strong advantage.
