Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking enthusiastic and physically capable individuals to join our dedicated team as a Seasonal Pool Installer Helper. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the exciting and rapidly growing outdoor living industry. As a key member of our installation crew, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients’ dream backyards to life, contributing to the construction of high-quality, beautiful swimming pools across the Greater Toronto Area. This seasonal position offers dynamic workdays filled with practical challenges and rewarding outcomes, operating primarily from May to October, with potential for extension based on project demands and individual performance and the successful completion of projects.
Working under the direct guidance of experienced crew leaders and senior installers, you will be involved in various critical stages of the pool installation process, from initial site preparation and excavation support to liner installation, plumbing, and concrete work, leading up to the final aesthetic touches. This role demands a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols, as you will be operating in diverse outdoor conditions and often utilizing specialized equipment. You’ll acquire invaluable construction techniques, learn how to safely and efficiently handle a variety of hand and power tools, and understand the critical importance of precise execution in every task to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of our installations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced installers with all phases of pool construction, including excavation, framing, plumbing, liner installation, and finishing.
- Perform site preparation duties such as clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Safely transport, load, and unload materials and tools to and from job sites.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., shovels, drills, saws).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and challenges.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, demonstrating reliability and a willingness to learn.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain).
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, general labour, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
