Job Description
Hiring.zycto is excited to welcome a motivated and reliable Pool Maintenance Helper to our growing team in Toronto. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with no prior experience who possess a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and optimal functioning of various swimming pools, primarily serving residential and commercial clients near the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Receive comprehensive, on-the-job training from experienced technicians, learning everything from water chemistry and filtration systems to equipment operation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine pool cleaning: skimming, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces.
- Learn and assist with balancing pool water chemistry under supervision.
- Help inspect and clean pool filtration systems, pumps, and related equipment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot basic pool issues as guided.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and chemicals used.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients professionally.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols.
- Transport equipment and supplies to and from client sites.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) regularly
- Reliability and punctuality
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid G2 or G driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with hand tools
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Customer service experience
