Job Description
A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated and certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our passionate team as a Preschool Teacher. At Hiring.zycto, we are committed to fostering a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children aged 2.5-5 years can thrive socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. As a key member of our educational family, you will be instrumental in shaping the foundational experiences of our young learners in the vibrant East End-Danforth community.
Your days will be filled with the joy of discovery and guided exploration. You will be responsible for designing and implementing an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with the ELECT (Early Learning for Every Child Today) framework, promoting holistic development through play-based learning. This involves creating dynamic lesson plans, organizing captivating activities, and setting up enriching learning centers that spark curiosity and encourage active participation. From storytelling and creative arts to outdoor play and early literacy development, you will facilitate experiences that make learning an adventure.
More than just an educator, you will be a compassionate mentor, observing each child’s unique developmental journey and tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs. You’ll celebrate their milestones, offer comfort when needed, and guide them in developing crucial social skills like sharing, cooperation, and empathy. Maintaining open and collaborative communication with parents and guardians is paramount; you will provide regular updates on their child’s progress, discuss developmental observations, and work in partnership to support each child’s growth.
Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment is a continuous priority. You will diligently adhere to all licensing regulations and health and safety standards, conducting daily checks and maintaining a space conducive to both learning and well-being. Your role extends to documenting children’s learning through various methods, assessing their development, and participating actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your practice. This is a chance to make a profound and lasting impact on the lives of children, guiding them through their crucial early years with enthusiasm, expertise, and a genuine love for teaching. We seek someone who embodies patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of child psychology, ready to inspire our youngest learners every day.
