Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for primary school students.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and student well-being.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school administration to enhance educational programs and foster a cohesive school community.
- Participate actively in professional development sessions, staff meetings, and school-wide events.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, responsibility, and good citizenship.
- Utilize various instructional strategies and educational technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral observations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Kentucky Teaching Certification for Primary Grades (P-5) or eligibility for immediate certification.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Strong classroom management skills with a focus on positive reinforcement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and colleagues.
