Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex geotechnical consulting projects from inception to completion.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to project teams and junior engineers.
- Develop and review geotechnical investigation programs, analyses, and design recommendations.
- Conduct advanced analyses for foundation design, slope stability, seismic response, and ground improvement.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, develop proposals, and foster long-term relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of the consulting practice.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
- Oversee construction phase services, including site inspections and quality assurance.
- Ensure all project work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in professional development and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Required Skills
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario (or eligible for registration)
- Master's or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in geotechnical consulting.
- Expertise in foundation design, slope stability, seismic analysis, and ground improvement.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, Plaxis, FLAC).
- Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities.
- Strong technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent client communication and business development capabilities.
- Deep understanding of Canadian geotechnical engineering codes and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with major infrastructure projects (e.g., transit, highways, utilities).
- Experience in risk assessment and management for geotechnical projects.
