Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Private Investigator to join our network of elite professionals. As a Private Investigator, you will be instrumental in gathering crucial information, conducting thorough surveillance, and delivering comprehensive findings to a diverse clientele, including legal firms, corporations, and private individuals. Your work will span a variety of cases, from corporate due diligence and fraud investigations to background checks and marital inquiries, demanding adaptability, discretion, and a meticulous approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct discreet and ethical surveillance operations, utilizing appropriate techniques and technologies.
  • Perform comprehensive background checks and open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering.
  • Interview witnesses, subjects, and relevant parties to gather pertinent information.
  • Collect, document, and preserve evidence in accordance with legal standards and chain of custody protocols.
  • Prepare detailed, objective, and legally sound investigative reports for clients.
  • Utilize advanced investigative tools and software for data analysis and case management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing private investigations in Ontario.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Testify in court or legal proceedings as an expert witness when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times regarding all case information and client identities.

Required Skills

  • Valid Private Investigator License in Ontario.
  • Proven experience in conducting various types of investigations (e.g., corporate, fraud, surveillance).
  • Exceptional observation and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in using investigative tools, software, and surveillance equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Canadian and Ontario privacy laws (e.g., PIPEDA, FIPPA).
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Criminology, Law, Police Foundations, or a related field.
  • Specialized training or certifications in areas such as forensic investigations, cybercrime, or skip tracing.
  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Mandarin, Punjabi).
  • Previous experience in law enforcement or a related security role.
  • Advanced technical skills, including data recovery or digital forensics.
