Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive procurement strategies for goods and services.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, and service levels, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier research to identify potential new vendors and evaluate existing supplier performance.
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and review through to renewal or termination.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and value-added opportunities without compromising quality or service.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs), addressing any deviations proactively.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and financial exposure.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings on procurement performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management (minimum 4 years).
  • Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated capability in driving cost efficiencies and process improvements.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or working towards it.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific industry procurement practices relevant to the sector.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
