As a Procurement Officer focused on Contract Management, you will be at the forefront of establishing, executing, and overseeing our contractual agreements with suppliers and vendors. Your day-to-day will involve everything from drafting and reviewing complex contracts to ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor contract performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), identifying and addressing any deviations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage contract lifecycle from initiation through to close-out, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, working collaboratively with legal and risk management teams.
- Develop and implement robust contract management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and contribute to supplier relationship management strategies.
- Facilitate resolution of contractual disputes and claims in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and value optimization through effective contract negotiation and management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or contract management.
- Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or working towards it.
- Experience with SAP Ariba or similar e-procurement platforms.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations (if applicable to company's operations).
