Job Description
This pivotal full-time role seeks an organized and passionate individual eager to advance their career in film production. As a Production Coordinator, you will be the operational backbone of our film projects, ensuring smooth execution from concept to final delivery. Based at Rogers Place, Edmonton, you’ll collaborate closely with directors, producers, crew, and vendors to manage schedules, budgets, logistics, and communication. Your ability to anticipate needs, proactively problem-solve, and maintain composure under pressure is crucial. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all production logistics: scheduling, travel, accommodation, equipment.
- Manage production calendars, call sheets, and daily reports.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoicing, and petty cash.
- Act as primary contact for crew, vendors, and partners.
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication.
- Oversee permits, clearances, and location agreements.
- Support with administrative tasks and document management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in crew hiring and onboarding.
- Efficiently resolve production issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as Production Coordinator in film, TV, or media production.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in production software (e.g., Movie Magic) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of standard film production workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production or related field.
- Experience with diverse or international productions.
- Familiarity with local Edmonton film resources.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- First Aid/Safety certification.
