Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment.
- Conduct quality checks on products at various stages of production to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Load and unload materials and products from machines and conveyors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25kg, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading instructions and recording data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S).
- Experience operating specific light industrial machinery.
- Forklift certification (an advantage, not essential).
