Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive and engaging online course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments, ensuring alignment with program learning outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction through synchronous and asynchronous online modalities, utilizing various digital tools and learning management systems to foster an interactive learning environment.
  • Facilitate meaningful discussions, provide timely and constructive feedback on student work, and hold virtual office hours to support student learning and development.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career pathways, and research opportunities, nurturing their intellectual curiosity and professional growth.
  • Stay abreast of current research, developments, and best practices in the academic discipline and online pedagogy, integrating new knowledge into course content and teaching strategies.
  • Actively participate in departmental and institutional committees, faculty meetings, and professional development activities, contributing to the overall academic community.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations, to advance knowledge in the field and enhance the institution's academic standing.
  • Assess student performance and learning outcomes effectively, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet the diverse needs of an online student body.
  • Maintain strict adherence to academic policies, ethical standards, and all relevant university guidelines in all professional duties.

Required Skills

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant academic discipline.
  • Demonstrable expertise and scholarly contributions in the subject area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of university-level teaching experience, with a strong preference for online teaching.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored for digital interaction and clear instruction.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple courses and student cohorts simultaneously in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications
