Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Officer to join our dedicated team in Bishopston, Bristol. Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of activities, from developing comprehensive project proposals and managing grant applications to meticulously monitoring program progress against established indicators. You will serve as a key liaison with various stakeholders, including local partners, community leaders, beneficiaries, and essential funding bodies, ensuring transparent communication and collaborative success across all initiatives. A significant part of your role will involve meticulous financial oversight, managing program budgets, and ensuring strict adherence to donor guidelines and internal financial policies. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of assigned programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor requirements.
- Develop detailed project work plans, budgets, and logical frameworks.
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability in collaboration with the finance department.
- Prepare high-quality progress reports, donor reports, and other internal/external communications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, community representatives, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities, assess challenges, and provide technical support to field teams.
- Ensure programs adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, ethical guidelines, and safeguarding standards.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts by assisting in the development of grant proposals and concept notes.
- Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning among program teams and partners.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management within the non-profit or development sector.
- Proven experience in project cycle management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience managing program budgets and donor compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
