Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our innovative Telehealth team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate accurate diagnoses for a diverse patient population via secure telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy and various psychotherapeutic modalities.
- Provide ongoing medication management, monitoring efficacy and managing potential side effects.
- Offer individual and group psychotherapy sessions utilizing virtual tools.
- Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and provincial regulations pertaining to psychiatric practice and telehealth.
- Provide crisis intervention and refer patients to appropriate higher levels of care when necessary.
Required Skills
- Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
- Specialty certification in Psychiatry (FRCPC or equivalent).
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ontario.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience in psychiatric practice.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting virtual psychiatric assessments and delivering telehealth services.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning abilities.
- Competency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and virtual care platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds.
- Additional training or certification in specific psychotherapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT).
- Familiarity with various mental health technology solutions and platforms.
- Experience in an academic or teaching setting.
