This is a truly unique and rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of diverse community members, helping them overcome communication barriers, articulate their ideas with newfound confidence, and ultimately find their authentic voice.
In this vital part-time role, you will be instrumental in the end-to-end process of designing, developing, and delivering highly engaging and interactive workshops. Beyond group sessions, you will also provide personalized, one-on-one coaching to adults and youth from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. You’ll have the privilege of working with a wide spectrum of participants, ranging from those who are entirely new to public speaking to individuals eager to refine advanced presentation skills for personal advocacy, career advancement, or aspiring community leadership roles. Your expertise and guidance will directly contribute to our overarching mission of cultivating a more connected, articulate, and empowered society right here within North Vancouver.
We firmly believe that effective communication serves as the fundamental cornerstone of both personal and collective empowerment. As our Public Speaking Coach, you will be tasked with developing tailored content that incisively addresses specific community needs, continuously utilizing innovative, inclusive, and culturally sensitive teaching methodologies. You will be responsible for meticulously assessing the progress of participants, providing empathetic and constructive feedback, and celebrating their significant growth and milestones every step of the way. This role demands not only exceptional coaching and pedagogical abilities but also a deep, nuanced understanding of the unique challenges often faced by non-profit beneficiaries. A profound commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where every voice feels valued and heard is paramount. If you are genuinely ready to apply your extensive public speaking prowess to a cause greater than yourself and witness firsthand the transformative power of clear, confident communication, we wholeheartedly encourage you to apply.
