Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established procedures.
- Perform sensory evaluations, physical tests, and record data accurately and promptly.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and operational prerequisite programs (OPRPs) throughout the production process.
- Identify and report any non-conformities, deviations, or potential quality issues to the Quality Manager immediately.
- Assist in the investigation of quality incidents and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, logs, and documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and company quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with production teams to promote best practices in hygiene, sanitation, and quality control.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Support the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a quality control or assurance role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety principles (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
- Ability to follow procedures meticulously and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience with specific food testing equipment and laboratory procedures.
- Knowledge of BRCGS standards or other recognized food safety management systems.
- First Aid certification is an advantage.
