Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a talented and highly motivated Remote Quality Engineer to join our innovative team. This critical role ensures the integrity, reliability, and performance of our industry-leading remote collaboration platform. As a Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies. Working fully remotely, you will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders across different time zones, embedding quality assurance throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for new features and existing functionalities.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Perform manual, exploratory, regression, and performance testing to ensure high product quality and user satisfaction.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing valuable insights from a quality perspective.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies within a remote-first team setting.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics.
- Proactively identify potential risks and challenges in product development and testing.
- Champion quality best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Pytest).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote work environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
