Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking an accomplished and meticulous Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Highgate, London. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for new projects and proposals.
- Administer contract agreements, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Manage procurement processes, including tender document preparation and contractor selection.
- Conduct regular valuations of work in progress and process payments to contractors.
- Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare detailed cost reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project delivery within budget.
- Advise on value engineering options to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC).
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- RICS accreditation or working towards it.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) applications in QS practice.
- Valid UK driving license.
