Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in/check-out process.
  • Manage all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency, providing accurate information and solutions.
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain an organised and presentable reception area, ensuring all necessary supplies and information are readily available.
  • Process payments, manage reservations, and update guest records accurately within the property management system.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues.
  • Provide local information, recommendations, and assistance with bookings for transport, restaurants, and attractions.
  • Uphold security protocols, ensuring guest safety and property integrity at all times.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, supporting the overall operational efficiency of the establishment.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and exceed expectations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) experience in a front-of-house or reception role within the hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a clear, confident, and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) and standard office software.
  • Strong organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for customer service and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications or diplomas in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience with specific PMS software such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
  • Additional language proficiency (beyond English) is a significant advantage.
  • First Aid certification.
