Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Record Label A&R Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Downtown Clearwater. This pivotal role supports our A&R department in identifying, signing, and developing exceptional musical talent. As an A&R Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our artist discovery process, contributing significantly to our roster’s growth and success. You’ll work closely with A&R executives, artists, producers, and management, providing essential administrative, logistical, and creative support.

Your day-to-day will involve a dynamic mix of tasks, from scouting new artists and tracking industry trends to coordinating recording sessions and managing demo submissions. You will act as a crucial liaison, ensuring seamless communication between artists and various internal departments, including marketing, legal, and production. This role demands a keen ear for emerging sounds, a deep passion for music across diverse genres, and an unwavering commitment to artist advocacy. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist A&R executives in scouting, evaluating, and signing new artists.
  • Manage and organize demo submissions, ensuring timely review and feedback.
  • Coordinate recording sessions, mixing, and mastering schedules.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for artists, producers, and management regarding project logistics.
  • Prepare A&R reports, research industry trends, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate artist databases, contact lists, and project timelines.
  • Facilitate communication between A&R and other internal departments (Marketing, Legal, Production).
  • Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and contract administration for A&R projects.
  • Attend showcases, concerts, and industry events to identify new talent and network.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing travel, and preparing presentations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Entertainment Management, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production terminology.
  • Understanding of streaming analytics and music industry data platforms.
  • Existing network within the independent music scene or specific genres.
