Job Description
As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) on our dedicated Night Shift team at Hiring.zycto, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous provision of high-quality patient care throughout the nocturnal hours. Situated in the vibrant Parkdale community of Toronto, our facility serves a diverse patient population, requiring your expert clinical skills, keen observation, and compassionate approach. This full-time position demands a proactive and independent professional who can confidently manage patient needs, anticipate potential issues, and react effectively to emergent situations, all while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence for patients and their families.
Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum of nursing duties, from comprehensive patient assessments and accurate medication administration to wound care, vital sign monitoring, and the meticulous documentation of all care provided. The night shift offers a unique environment where your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are frequently called upon, often with less direct supervision, making autonomy and sound judgment paramount. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including Physicians, Registered Nurses, and Personal Support Workers, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care, even during the quietest hours.
At Hiring.zycto, we are committed to fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and continuous professional development. We believe that our night shift RPNs are the backbone of our 24/7 care model, providing essential support and comfort when patients are most vulnerable. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment, advocating for patient needs, and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice. We seek an individual who is not only clinically proficient but also embodies empathy, resilience, and a deep dedication to patient well-being, ready to embrace the distinct rhythm and challenges of night-time nursing. This role offers the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of individuals in our care, contributing significantly to their recovery and comfort.
