Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote IT Support Agent to become a vital part of our distributed team. This full-time position offers the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home, providing essential technical assistance to both our internal staff and valued external clients. As a primary point of contact, you will be instrumental in efficiently troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system-related issues, thereby ensuring minimal disruption to our daily operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware via phone, email, and chat.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices, applications, and operating systems.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting, provide clear, concise instructions, and guide users through problem-solving steps.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and processes thoroughly within our ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams or senior technicians when necessary, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Assist with user account management, password resets, and managing access permissions.
  • Contribute to the creation and ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base and self-help resources.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an IT support role (minimum 1.5 years or 18 months).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, including common troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace administration and support.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in remote desktop support tools and experience with ticketing systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a significant asset, given the location.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
