Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Resort Manager Trainee to join our esteemed team at our premier location, nestled in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant waterfront, near the picturesque Sugar Beach. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured training rotation across all major resort departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Sales, HR, Maintenance).
  • Shadow and support department managers in their daily operations, learning best practices and operational procedures.
  • Assist in managing guest relations, handling inquiries, feedback, and resolving issues to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of operational strategies to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Learn financial aspects of resort management, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
  • Support HR functions, including staff training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Participate in management meetings, contributing insights and preparing reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards across all operations.
  • Develop leadership skills through mentorship and practical application in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Fluency in additional languages is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) and Point-of-Sale (POS) software.
  • Certification in hospitality operations or food safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
