Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with emergency service calls, including water extraction, structural drying, and debris removal.
- Learn and apply industry-standard techniques for water damage, fire, smoke, and mold remediation.
- Set up, monitor, and dismantle specialized drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers) and containment barriers.
- Perform general labour tasks such as demolition, cleaning, and sanitizing affected areas.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicles and equipment.
- Document job site conditions, progress, and scope of work accurately.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Participate actively in all training sessions and continuous learning opportunities.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by being respectful, polite, and responsive to client needs.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working in diverse environments, including those affected by water, mold, or fire.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in general labour, construction, or a hands-on trade.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT) or a strong interest in obtaining them.
