Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome all patrons upon their arrival, offering a friendly and inviting first impression.
  • Provide clear and concise directions to seating areas, restrooms, coat checks, and other theatre amenities.
  • Efficiently scan tickets and assist guests with any general inquiries or wayfinding needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting entrance and lobby area throughout your shift.
  • Proactively identify and address minor guest issues, or escalate complex situations to management.
  • Act as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for the theatre and our partner company.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Assist patrons with accessibility needs, ensuring a comfortable experience for every guest.
  • Collaborate effectively with ushers, concessions staff, and other theatre personnel.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand and walk comfortably for extended periods during shifts.
  • Proven reliability and punctuality for scheduled weekend shifts.
  • Proficiency in spoken and understood English.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with grace and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or hospitality role.
  • Familiarity with theatre operations or performing arts venues.
  • Experience with ticket scanning or point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages (e.g., French).
