As a Retail Keyholder, you will be instrumental in the daily success of our store. You’ll not only be responsible for the crucial opening and closing procedures, safeguarding our premises, and handling cash management, but also for fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your ability to troubleshoot issues, maintain visual merchandising standards, and support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets will be key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute secure opening and closing procedures for the store, including arming/disarming alarms.
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including accurate till reconciliation and bank deposits.
  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, achieving sales goals, and supervising sales associates.
  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and adeptly resolving customer complaints.
  • Train and mentor sales associates on product knowledge, effective sales techniques, and adherence to store policies.
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and overall store cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and actively support loss prevention strategies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for staff queries and operational issues during assigned shifts.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a retail environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or keyholder role.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to independently open and close a retail store.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and effective decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in retail management or a related field.
  • Experience with visual merchandising best practices and implementation.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and procedures.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
