Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Support Manager to lead the operational excellence of our bustling outlet store in Calverton, Nottingham. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operational aspects of the outlet store, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory, stock control, deliveries, and replenishment processes to prevent stockouts and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of retail assistants, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an attractive and engaging shopping atmosphere.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently by all team members, handling complex inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular store audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage store schedules, employee timekeeping, and payroll administration accurately.
  • Act as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and store security.
  • Collaborate with regional management on strategic initiatives and provide regular performance reports.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of retail management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or support manager role.
  • Proven experience in managing daily store operations, including inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in retail POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by retail operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within an outlet or large format retail store.
  • Knowledge of local market trends and customer demographics in Calverton and Nottinghamshire.
  • Formal qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • First Aid and Fire Warden certifications.
