Key Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation and cleanup, including clearing debris, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining a tidy work area.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision, such as shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors.
- Support skilled tradespersons and equipment operators by performing tasks like spotting, guiding machinery, and securing loads.
- Participate in flagging and traffic control to ensure the safety of both the crew and the public.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform general labor duties as assigned, including trenching, grading, paving, and asphalt patching.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adapt to new tasks and environments.

- Basic communication skills to understand and follow safety instructions and communicate with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in physically demanding outdoor work or general labor.
- Awareness of basic construction site safety principles (e.g., WHMIS, CSTS certification – training will be provided if not held).
- First Aid and CPR certification (an asset).
