Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine road maintenance tasks such as patching potholes, crack sealing, and minor asphalt repairs.
- Clear debris, litter, and other hazards from roadways, sidewalks, and culverts to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with traffic control, including setting up cones, barricades, and signage to ensure worker and public safety around work zones.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, including shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors under supervision.
- Participate in seasonal duties such as snow removal, de-icing, and spring clean-up operations as required.
- Inspect road surfaces and report any defects, structural issues, or potential hazards to supervisors for further action.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies, always prioritizing personal and team safety.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently, effectively, and to high quality standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
