Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software for robotic systems, including perception, navigation, manipulation, and control.
- Implement and optimize algorithms for robot kinematics, dynamics, path planning, and motion control.
- Integrate various hardware components such as sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs), actuators, and robotic arms.
- Conduct simulations and analyze robot performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Perform extensive testing, debugging, and validation of robotic systems in both simulated and physical environments.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and AI/ML engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Develop and maintain documentation for robotic systems, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, AI, and automation technologies, integrating new techniques where beneficial.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed robotic solutions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in robotics development.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
- Extensive experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework.
- Strong understanding of control systems, kinematics, and dynamics.
- Experience with sensor data processing and fusion (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs).
- Familiarity with software development tools (Git, CMake) and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with machine learning and computer vision techniques for robotics applications.
- Familiarity with industrial robot brands (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, KUKA) and their programming interfaces.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Knowledge of functional safety standards for robotics (e.g., ISO 10218, IEC 61508).
- Experience with simulation environments such as Gazebo, CoppeliaSim, or V-REP.
