Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled RV Technician to join our dynamic team for the upcoming seasonal peak. As an RV Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our customers’ recreational vehicles are in prime condition for their adventures. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of RV systems and components. This includes everything from intricate electrical and plumbing systems to HVAC, appliance repair, structural adjustments, and intricate chassis work. The seasonal nature of this role means you’ll be instrumental in preparing RVs for the prime travel months, executing pre-delivery inspections, performing warranty work, and addressing urgent repairs to keep our clients on the road. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship will directly contribute to the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
Working with various makes and models of travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, and campers, you’ll utilize advanced diagnostic tools and adhere to industry best practices. Your day might involve anything from troubleshooting complex electrical issues in a Class A motorhome to repairing a leaky roof on a travel trailer or installing new accessories. You’ll interact directly with customers, explaining repairs, providing estimates, and offering expert advice in a clear, courteous manner. Strong communication skills are therefore essential, as is the ability to manage your time effectively to meet seasonal deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various RV systems including electrical (12V/120V), plumbing, HVAC, propane, and appliances.
- Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and warranty work according to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair and maintain structural components, including roofs, walls, floors, and chassis.
- Install RV accessories such as hitches, solar panels, satellite dishes, and awnings.
- Provide detailed repair estimates and communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and solutions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Document all work performed accurately and completely in the service management system.
- Stay updated on new RV technologies, models, and repair techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an RV Technician or similar automotive/heavy equipment mechanical role.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- RVDA/RVIA or other recognized RV technical certifications.
- Experience with specific RV manufacturers (e.g., Jayco, Forest River, Grand Design).
- Certification in propane (e.g., OBT1 in Ontario).
- Prior customer service experience in a repair or service environment.
- Ability to operate various types of RVs for testing purposes.
