As a Sales Assistant focusing on Customer Help & Checkout, you will be the face of Hiring.zycto, playing a crucial role in shaping our customers’ shopping journey. Beyond direct customer interaction on the sales floor, you will be responsible for operating our checkout system with speed and accuracy, processing transactions, handling cash and card payments, and ensuring all purchases are handled efficiently. You will also be adept at resolving customer queries, processing returns and exchanges gracefully, and providing solutions that leave customers feeling valued and understood. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering detailed information and helpful recommendations.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and manage daily till reconciliation.
- Actively resolve customer complaints and issues with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area and sales floor.
- Replenish stock on shelves, ensuring products are well-displayed and accessible.
- Promote ongoing sales, special offers, and loyalty programs to customers.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain store standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role (retail or hospitality preferred).
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude and experience handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
