Job Description
The Scaffolding Helper role at Hiring.zycto is an outstanding opportunity for individuals eager to dive into the construction trades and make an immediate impact. Based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, this full-time, on-site position offers hands-on experience, working closely with our skilled scaffolders to erect, dismantle, and maintain various scaffolding structures essential for safe and efficient project execution. You will be an integral part of our team, responsible for ensuring all materials are prepped, moved, and organized efficiently while strictly adhering to safety protocols. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment for everyone on site. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled scaffolders in the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
- Transport scaffolding materials (tubes, fittings, boards, ladders) to and from work areas.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Perform routine checks on scaffolding components for defects or damage under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
- Operate basic hand and power tools common to the construction trade responsibly.
- Support the team by performing general labour duties as required on site.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Basic understanding of construction site environments.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in Quispamsis, NB.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction, labour, or outdoor physical role.
- Valid Fall Protection and/or WHMIS certification.
- Familiarity with various types of scaffolding systems.
- Basic First Aid certification.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
