Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons according to the UK national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of students regularly.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Manage student behaviour effectively, promoting respect, self-discipline, and good conduct.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student well-being and academic achievement.
- Participate actively in school meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, school events, and community engagement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
- Implement school policies and procedures diligently, including those relating to safeguarding and health and safety.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
- Proven experience teaching at either primary or secondary level within a UK school setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong classroom management techniques and behaviour regulation strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK National Curriculum relevant to primary or secondary education.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support all students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
- Experience teaching a specific secondary subject (e.g., Science, Maths, English) or across multiple key stages in primary education.
- Leadership experience or demonstrable potential for leadership within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of current educational trends, pedagogical approaches, and best practices.
