Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize various types of scrap metal, plastics, and other recyclable materials according to company standards.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of incoming materials from trucks and outgoing processed materials onto transport vehicles.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scales) after receiving appropriate training and certification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety protocols and procedures.
- Identify and segregate non-compliant or hazardous materials for proper disposal.
- Perform routine visual inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety drills to continuously enhance skills and awareness.
