Key Responsibilities
- Develop original screenplays and teleplays from initial concept to final draft.
- Collaborate with the creative team, including producers and directors, to refine story ideas, characters, and plot structures.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure authenticity and depth in scripts.
- Provide constructive script coverage and detailed notes on incoming submissions and existing projects.
- Rewrite, adapt, and polish existing scripts as required, adhering to project timelines and creative visions.
- Participate actively in pitching sessions and creative meetings, contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
- Ensure all scripts meet industry standards for formatting and quality.
- Stay abreast of current trends in film, television, and digital storytelling.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Screenwriter with a portfolio of work.
- Exceptional storytelling ability with a strong grasp of narrative structure, pacing, and character development.
- Proficiency in screenwriting software (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to receive and integrate feedback constructively.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Creative Writing, English, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
