Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact at the security desk for all visitors, employees, and contractors.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Control access to the facility, verifying identification and issuing visitor badges as per established procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logbooks of all security-related activities, incidents, and visitor information.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and alarms, initiating appropriate protocols and notifying relevant personnel.
- Provide clear directions and customer service to individuals entering the premises.
- Conduct routine checks of the security desk area and equipment to ensure functionality and readiness.
- Communicate effectively with management, law enforcement, and emergency services during critical situations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, word processing)
- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor

- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Ability to obtain a Connecticut Security Officer Certification (Guard Card) upon hire
