Hiring.zycto is seeking a vigilant, professional, and highly dependable Security Guard to manage our corporate entry point in Sherwood, Nottingham. This is a pivotal role that serves as the first line of defence and the welcoming face of our organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for all employees, visitors, and assets, ensuring adherence to company security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access at the main corporate entry point, verifying identification and authorising entry for employees and approved visitors.
- Operate and monitor CCTV surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment to detect and deter unauthorised activities.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, security breaches, disturbances, and emergency situations, coordinating with relevant authorities as required.
- Maintain detailed daily logs of security activities, incidents, and observations.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Provide clear and concise directions and assistance to visitors and staff while upholding a professional and approachable demeanour.
- Conduct initial investigations into security incidents and complete comprehensive incident reports.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security best practices and emergency response.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor licence.
- Proven experience in a corporate security or similar high-visibility security role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV and alarm systems.
- Basic IT literacy for report writing and electronic record keeping.
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience with access control systems and visitor management software.
- Knowledge of corporate security protocols and best practices.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
