Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, damage, or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm systems, responding to alerts and incidents promptly.
- Control access to the building, verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established protocols and liaising with emergency services.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports on all security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence, offering assistance and information to staff and visitors with a professional demeanor.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and addressing any violations.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) License – Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
- Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a corporate or commercial environment.
- Excellent observational and patrolling skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction and report writing.
- Ability to operate modern security equipment including CCTV and access control systems.
- First Aid qualification (desirable, but training can be provided).
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for logging and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCTV Public Space Surveillance License (SIA).
- Previous experience working with a diverse workforce and public.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
