Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly vigilant, professional, and dedicated Security Officer to enhance the safety and security of our vibrant commercial properties in Basford, Nottingham. This essential full-time role focuses on providing comprehensive security services across a busy retail mall and adjacent professional office complexes. You will be at the forefront of protecting people, property, and assets, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and employees alike.

As a Security Officer, your daily responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of proactive and reactive security measures. Your keen observational skills will be critical as you conduct regular patrols, both internal and external, covering all areas of the mall and office buildings. This includes monitoring CCTV systems, identifying and addressing potential security vulnerabilities, and responding swiftly and appropriately to any incidents, alarms, or emergencies that may arise. You will be an ambassador for safety, deterring criminal activity, preventing loss, and enforcing site rules and regulations with professionalism and tact.

Beyond patrols, this role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be the visible presence that reassures the public and staff, often acting as a first point of contact for enquiries, offering directions, and providing assistance where needed. Your ability to de-escalate situations calmly, gather accurate information, and compile detailed and concise incident reports will be paramount. Managing access control points, conducting bag checks where appropriate, and liaising effectively with emergency services when required are also core aspects of this dynamic position.

We are looking for an individual who embodies integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility. The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a cohesive security team is vital. At Hiring.zycto, we value our security personnel as crucial members of our operational framework. We provide a supportive environment, ongoing training, and opportunities for professional growth. If you are SIA licensed, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to upholding the highest standards of security and customer service, we invite you to apply. Join Hiring.zycto and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our community and properties in Basford, Nottingham, ensuring peace of mind for everyone who visits or works within our managed sites.
