Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties to ensure premises are secure.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, and access points; permit entry.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or unusual occurrences to superiors.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients, visitors, and employees.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
- Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid, as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (or ability to obtain before employment)
- Clean criminal record check
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties (walking, standing for extended periods)
- Reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Valid G-class Ontario Driver's License with a clean abstract
