Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated Security Patrol Officer to join our team, safeguarding a prominent industrial park in Harpurhey, Manchester. This crucial role involves maintaining a secure and safe environment for tenants, visitors, and assets. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, visible foot and vehicle patrols of the industrial park perimeter and internal areas.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels for suspicious activity or breaches, taking appropriate action.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and observations accurately and efficiently.
- Enforce site rules and regulations, ensuring compliance from all personnel and visitors.
- Provide a professional and courteous presence, assisting visitors and staff with queries as needed.
- Control access points, verifying credentials and managing visitor logs meticulously.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, or security vulnerabilities to relevant management.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, providing assistance.
- Conduct thorough security checks of buildings, facilities, and equipment, ensuring everything is secure.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license.
- Excellent observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interaction.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure, particularly during incidents.
- Proficiency in using security equipment, including CCTV monitoring and alarm systems.
- Basic IT literacy for report writing, electronic communication, and data entry.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a cohesive team.
- A clean driving license for operating patrol vehicles and access to own transport (preferred).
- Physical fitness to undertake regular patrols, stand for extended periods, and respond to incidents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security within an industrial, commercial, or corporate setting.
- First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of the local area and specific security risks pertinent to Harpurhey/Manchester.
- Experience with advanced access control systems and visitor management software.
- Ability to conduct basic investigations and gather evidence efficiently and discreetly.
