Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Support Staff member to join our team in Preston, Cambridge. In this full-time role, you will be a crucial frontline presence, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or damage.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment, promptly responding to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Manage access control points, verifying credentials for entry and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
- Respond effectively to security incidents, emergencies (e.g., fire, medical), and alarms, following established procedures.
- Liaise with emergency services when required and assist in investigations by providing accurate reports and observations.
- Provide a visible and professional security presence, offering assistance and information to staff and visitors.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily logs, and other documentation as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a security role (minimum 2 years).
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Basic IT proficiency for monitoring security systems.
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence (UK specific).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience with various security software and hardware systems.
- Relevant security certifications or training.
