Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in IT to join our dedicated team. The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in understanding and documenting business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and translating complex business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications for development teams. You will work closely with project managers, solution architects, developers, and end-users to ensure that technical solutions meet business expectations and are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with diverse stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, concise, and actionable specifications.
- Perform in-depth business process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create comprehensive documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams (developers, architects, QA) to ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and align with enterprise architecture standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Support change management activities, including training development and delivery, to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in a senior capacity within IT projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components.
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management using various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., UML, BPMN, user stories, use cases).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and workshops effectively.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and collaboration tools.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) certification.
- Experience working within a museum, cultural institution, or non-profit sector environment.
- Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, and database concepts.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
