Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure and automation solutions that power our cutting-edge applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software deployment.
- Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Automate operational tasks and improve system reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical production systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.
- Conduct security reviews and implement security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact and integration into our stack.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
- Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications from major cloud providers (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Knowledge of database administration (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with immutable infrastructure and GitOps methodologies.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading technical projects.
